Summary: The objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive Information System for the management, monitoring, and digital transformation of land improvement and irrigation infrastructure managed by Land Reclamation Organizations (O.E.V.s), Municipalities, and Irrigation Associations. The implementation of this project enables the digital transformation of the organizations responsible for managing these critical infrastructure assets, aligns their operations with current Greek legislation and European regulations, supports more efficient resource management, ensures their sustainable operation, and enhances citizen services while promoting transparency in the management of public resources.

The integrated information system provides both infrastructure management organizations and the supervisory authorities with a complete overview of their actual operational status. It supports informed decision-making to ensure the long-term sustainability of these organizations, addresses the challenges of water cost calculation and pricing as required by the new legislative framework, and provides the necessary tools to monitor and manage violations, faults, and incidents across the infrastructure. Its ultimate objective is to ensure the more efficient, transparent, and sustainable operation of land improvement and irrigation systems.

Smart Digital Irrigation Management

Water management can no longer rely on outdated procedures, fragmented controls, and unclear consumption data. Irrigation organizations need modern digital tools that provide control, transparency, automation, resilience, and reliable consumption monitoring.

The solution developed by TECHNOR Engineering combines «Polynoi», the first smart electronic water abstraction unit manufactured in Greece, with the «Naiad» digital platform, creating an integrated irrigation consumption and infrastructure management system for Land Reclamation Organizations, irrigation network management authorities, municipalities, and technical services.

«Polynoi» transforms every water abstraction point into a controlled, digitally monitored node within the network. Farmers are electronically identified, use available water or energy consumption units, and carry out irrigation in a simple, secure, and transparent manner. Consumption is automatically recorded, and the data is transmitted to the «Naiad» platform, providing the managing authority with a complete overview of network operations.

The «Naiad» platform serves as the central digital management environment. Through it, the managing authority can oversee farmers, agricultural plots, water abstraction points, cards, consumption units, billing, incidents, and reports. This enables precise knowledge of who consumes resources, where, how much, and with what usage history.

The integrated Polynoi & Naiad system helps organizations ensure transparent and efficient management of their irrigation infrastructure, reduce uncontrolled usage, improve consumption monitoring, and organize their daily operations more effectively. At the same time, it supports fairer billing, faster farmer service, and better decision-making based on real data.
